About Me

I did my Master’s program through Adam’s State University, based in Alamosa, CO from 2019-2021. During that time, I worked in community mental health, providing low cost to no cost individual therapy to adults and teens. Shortly after, I was licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate while in Austin, TX. I was in a private practice working with children, teens, parents, and adults until transferring to a behavior hospital. At the hospital I was the lead teen therapist for the unit.

I moved back to Oregon after a four year hiatus while in Austin, TX and am glad to be back in the PNW.

How I work with each client can vary depending on what the client’s needs and goals are. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support for my clients. I use a variety of methods, their fancy names are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In other words, I will work with you in ways we both believe will best serve you. I view the relationship between the therapist and the client as sacred and will work collaboratively with you.

What you and I identify as your goals for therapy will guide me in how I approach therapy with you. That might include, but is not limited to: identifying your default thinking patterns, redesigning any patterns that are causing issues, and connecting said thought patterns to emotions, behaviors, and everything in between. Also, identifying and highlighting strengths, empowering you, helping build new narratives (about you, the world, family, etc), come up with real solutions with you, coach you on taking that next step (whatever that may be), or create and support you in implementing effective safety plans.

Healing does not look the same for everyone. Some folks want to be able to get out of bed in the morning and make it to work on time without forgetting their lunch. Other folks want to be able to go to a grocery store without having a panic attack. And some people just want to live to see tomorrow. How you heal and what that process it looks like will not look the same for everyone and that is okay.
